I think the posting of notices about available jobs in the area which are somehow related to Linux is _so important_ that it should not be censored or sidelined out of our general list. What better way is there to accomplish our fundamental mission of promoting Linux and exchanging information than by providing labor resources and jobs for our members and community? If anything, we should be actively seeking and encouraging such announcements rather than offering space only to those who ask nicely.
We already have a system in place to keep out unwanted posts, if that was to become an issue. I once complained to David Mandel because he was cross-posting job notices on several lists, and I was getting tired of all the duplicate posts. He said something like "What's more important, someone's job in a capacity which may further opensource, or your convenience in filtering messages?" Suddenly it became very clear to me that job postings must take priority.
