Working: 1) Linux w/ LJ4 driver -> LPT? -> LJ5L 2) NT w/ LJ? driver -> NetWare Print Server -> LPT? | JetDirect -> LJ5L Not Working: 3) Anything SMB -> Linux Samba -> LPT? -> LJ5L 4) W95 w/ LJ? driver -> LPT? -> LJ5L 5) W95 w/ LJ? driver -> NetWare Print Server -> JetDirect -> LJ5L Assuming you aren't using CUPS with Samba, for case: 3) The client OS needs to have a native driver for the target printer and use a raw printer on the Linux Samba Server. The name for the raw printer must be distinct from the printer name you normally use when printing from Linux.
