will the double paging bandwidth still hold true if both hard drives are on
the same ide channel?  if so, i'll definitely do that.  otherwise, i don't
see a need.

and with 512mb of ram, my system will run just fine on 250mb of swap.  it'd
probably run just fine on 10mb of swap (experience with top has suggested
so...)

ATI Radeon LE, or whatever else i can afford when i do it.  i'm going to
move away from the GeForce because, even when it was working, it gave me
nothing but headaches and incompatibility.  and i still want the
uber-graphix processing power that i'm used to.
