I dont know... Those are 2 instances where cell phones were not involved...
Ill bet ( i dont have any statistics handy...) there are a lot more accidents
due to cell phones than that. Rarely do you see someone on a bicycle or
motorcycle or sport car using a cell phone... its always people driving SUV's
Van's and large luxury cars.... Dont get me wrong... I think people should be
allowed to do what they want, unless it is dangerous to themselves or others,
and people talking on cell phones endanger others (not themselves, they are
in huge gas guzzeling machines that they can afford to repair) There are
always examples of people doing things they shouldnt (such as play with the
baby instead of paying attention to the road...) The Darwinism website is all
about that but those people harm themselves more than others.
The way I see it, if your using a phone (or computer or whatever is
distracting you from the primary goal of driving), then you are saying that
your phone call (or computer, ...) is more important than the safety of
everyone in traffic, which is terribly selfish. It makes me very angry when
someone selfishly endangers my life, how about you? When I see people talking
on phones while driving, I want to get a gun and fire a few warning shots
over their head... the bullets wont endanger me, and maybe it would satisfy
my own selfish needs... why should I care if they dont like it?
