Been away from Linux since my temper flare up re 9/11. Hope I am forgiven.
  I forgive you all.

Anyway, I'm moving and want to get rid of a lot of Linux books (some with
CDs), magazines, license plate frames, little "Linux Inside" blue gizmos
you put on your computer (I gave Stan some last year to give to you guys; I
don't know what you call them), and two Linux training videos to the group
if you would like to have them. Don't know who decides these things; hence,
  this general post.

I've gotten very much into using OS X ("Darwin" *nix) on my Apple Powerbook
as my all time favorite web development platform. You can go from Aqua (the
new Mac GUI) to a terminal screen in a single click and you can boot up
into command line only *nix terminal mode. I have Perl, Python, PHP, MySQL,
and Apache installed (Zope, also, but I like PHP and using BBEdit so much
I can't stand working in Zope). Basically, the Mac now lets you work much
as you can using Gnome or KDE (or whatever) and command line Linux. Very
cool.

Anyone working with or interested in Darwin (BSDish *nix) please drop me a
note. Maybe we can get some informal get togethers going. The Eugene MUG
(Mac User's Group) doesn't seem interested. Actually, doesn't seem to be
very active (I could be wrong).

Did anyone get my two 19.2 K baud wireless modems working? I am sure (if
you didn't fry them) they can be gotten to work. You have to be able to
read the schematic as these are OEM units with a power wiring change. I've
been working with RF since I was twelve so if anyone is interested I'd be
happy to be of help.

Also, I have two dual 200 MHz Pentium Pro IBM IntelliStation Pro's I want
to sell. One has 128 MB of ECC RAM, CD ROM, floppy, keyboard & mouse, and
an Adaptec SCSII controller (a 2940 if I remember correctly) with one 1 GB
(68-bin) and one 4.5 GB SCA (80-pin) hard disk. The other unit is identical
save it has only 64 MB ECC RAM, the keyboard only (dead mouse), and no 4.5
GB drive (i.e., 1.2 GB only). (VOS has some very cheap SCA SCSII drives
available, I found.) Both machines have Red Hat v7.1 installed, which
really flies using dual processors. $450 OBO for both.

I also have two 16 modem rack mount units with USR Robotics 28.8/33.6
modems and two 64 port Computone terminal servers for sale if anyone is
interested. I paid way too much for this stuff, but would be willing to
sell them fairly cheap if anyone wants to play "ISP". One of the Computone
units is brand spanking new. All cables are available.
