Evolution was installed from source.  I had to update a couple of libraries.
There were no dependancy errors.  I haven't had time to dig into it very far.  I
was hoping if someone knew were the configuration files were, it would save some
time wading through the fundamentals.

I find that installing from source, though not as easy as an RPM or Debian
install, ends up being faster because I can tune the program or library to my
hardware.
