except evolution runs under linux, which, to the general populace, means technobabble and gurus and knowledge about computers and a learning curve. something they may not want to invest time and energy into. also, with the wealth of window managers out there, X is not going to behave the same way on a different computer. think of the supposed "hurdles" that a new user has to face. it's not as easy as "your e-mail program will act the same!" honestly, try getting my sister to switch to mandrake. she's using '95 right now. even after i explained the benefits, including a speed boost, the answer was "i don't want to spend my time on the computer. i just want it to work." (here she may be jaded because her brother is always having troubles with linux...) is there a *nix mail program with the look and feel of eudora? not like i need it, i use webmail, but just out of curiosity. ===== Justin Bengtson @euglug=(v+ e- eug++ bsd? gnu++ s++) [EMAIL PROTECTED] "i called some kid 'b' the other day. it's the price you pay for living hip-hop every day of your life."
