Holy crap!!! I just got hit with this... It *completely* reinstalled windows over linux on my workstation; looks like it was smart enough to grab all my personal and /etc config's to a temp partition. It rebooted, and now I've got a clean, configured windows workstation. Not so bad, really; now I can get some work done instead of reading HOWTO's all day!
