here we go again... linux is just pissing me off. i like apt, but debian is always a few months behind on _everything_, red hat is easy to set up and use, but RPM's suck ass and source compiling doesn't exactly agree with my installs (no matter what i do...) building a distro from source just takes up too much of my time. the 3d acceleration is buggy as all hell (last time i used linux, i had to modify the kernel source to play return to castle wolfenstein... gtkradiant doesn't work worth shit...) media player software is still way behind under linux (mplayer, gtv and that other "x" program are too quirky to be useful) after install half of the shit i installed doesn't work... linux is too much work. windoze is easy, but the interface is lame, there's no security to speak of, ad infinitum, you all know the arguements. i suppose a unix isn't going to help here. maybe darwin supports 3d acceleration? ===== Justin Bengtson @euglug=(v+ e- eug++ bsd? gnu++ s++) [EMAIL PROTECTED] "i called some kid 'b' the other day. it's the price you pay for living hip-hop every day of your life."
