I remember now. You could upgrade to Slackware. It's very similar to Build your own Linux except most of the work has already been done. On the other hand, if the other distributions are too much work then this will be also.
I'm torn between sticking with Slackware because most things install with ./configure, make, make install and Redhat and/or Mandrake because I will need to be able to support them someday.
