Greetings fellow Linux heads,

As amazing as it seems, I work for a company which supports primarily
Windows workstations and servers while I, on the other hand run almost
exclusively Linux. Lots of people here ask me why and I simply point to the
list of virus' and exploits which have been developed for the different
OS's and the percentages of each as my reason.

Recently I came across the following report in Information Security
Magazine and thought you all might like to read it. Those of us who have
servers have a responsibility which is not being met on a national level
and I thought I might point it out. We are not providing adequate
information filtering for our clients and as such, virus' such as klez are
still bringing companies and individuals to their knees by crippling their
machines.

I will be looking into the options which are out there for this server
level screening and will post my findings if you all are interested.

With regards,
Ron LeVine
