C)  Amen, brother!  Preach it.
D, E, and F apply to most distributions ... IF you know what you're doing.
G)  The Linux world is so big and changes are happening so fast nobody, not even
Seth can keep up.
H)  Be careful of the versions you choose.  Newer isn't always better.
