Yes. That is the frustrating part. kudzu says it configured the %^**^( thing. I think I might just recompile the kernel with support for this card compiled directly in, instead of as a module. That will fix it. I hope.

Mandrake is an upgrade? Slackware would be

I may get. Problems with the scsi card would be a
little above me. In general RH usually does a good job
of autodetecting and configuring new hardware if it's
something standard.
Have you tried invoking kudzu during startup to see if
you could mangle the hardware config?
