For the most part I would say "yes". Also, their techniques will almost surely be designed for Windows machines. The odds of them spending any amount of time trying to get past your firewall to check out your *nix machine is unlikely. I wonder what would have to be done to study their techniques for reading your computer files... Could some kind of honeypot be designed to gain info on this? It may also help to know what networks they will be coming from. You could take more aggressive firewall measures then. We block traffic from several known "spy" subnets here...
