Well, mine isn't really optimized and it's an older
7200RPM drive on this machine but here are the times:
 Timing buffer-cache reads:   128 MB in  0.56 seconds
=226.55 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  64 MB in  2.91 seconds =
21.99 MB/sec

My file server reports:
Timing buffer-cache reads:   128 MB in  0.73 seconds
=175.34 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads:  64 MB in  1.61 seconds =
39.75 MB/sec
