Theres also gnomeicq, and gnomeicu, they apear to be the same... not sure... KXicq2, licq, all of the icq ones Im having trouble with... So..as far as I can tell...theyre a waste ot fime... I tried gaim, but its not installed on this system... I did like it pretty well though. The last one I can think of is everybuddy... Its soposed to work with all IM services (including jabber) Ive messed with it a bit, but have only used it with yahoo IM service. It works pretty well, but doesnt have the features of the ymessanger client. but the ymessanger client only works with yahoo... So... my suggestion... If you only have yahoo, then use the ymessanger, it works pretty well. You may find that gaim has features you like better than ymessanger though... If you have use something other than yahoo, then it looks like gaim or everybuddy are you r best choices... from the little time Ive spent with them, gaim seems to be the best for my needs (although I like the ymessnager).
