I like the fact that OpenBSD has single floppy boot disks, but another cool trick is to copy bsd.rd to /. bsd.rd is the ramdisk image for the bootable CD. It's nice to have after upgrade/reinstall too, because even if / is unmountable, as long as bsd.rd is bootable, you have access to a shell, ftp, fsck, mount, tar, rm, ls and such. It doesn't take up too much room either: builder:~% ls -l /bsd* -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4624328 Sep 4 19:58 /bsd -rw-r--r-- 1 root wheel 4624430 Sep 4 17:08 /bsd.old -r-xr-xr-x 1 root wheel 4242472 Sep 4 17:10 /bsd.rd -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> _______________________________________________ Eug-lug mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.efn.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/eug-lug
