A language's suckatude (or rockatude) is its relative count of web pages that mention the language's name along with "sucks" and "rules", measured by searches on AltaVista.
I'm sure there are a lot of happy programmers who never put up a web page declaring that their favorite language "rules". This index might just be measuring differences in vocabulary between different sets of programmers. Also, it might just be that php programmers create more web pages or are more vocal about their feelings than C++ programmers?
