As I've mentioned, after last Saturday's presentation (Thanks,
Cory/Neil/Larry/Mike/me!), I polled the attendees on what other
topics they'd like to see. Here are the lists we came up with,
and the people who could present them.

Newbie Topics
------ ------

        Kernel Compilation - mro
        regex - cory, bob, neil
        printing - neil:lpr
command line - bob, cory, larry
basic networking - cory, neil, joseph
        kernel compile - mro
securing a system - bob, cory

We didn't rate the newbie topics because there weren't enough
newbies in the room.

Advanced Topics
-------- ------

After we listed a bunch of topics, I asked each person to rank
his four favorites. Then we (a) counted the votes each topic
got, and (b) averaged the rankings. So a high number of votes
is good, and a low ranking is good.

(Sorry, this table will look crappy in variable-width fonts.
Here's a nickel -- get yourself a real email client.)

        Votes Rank Topic Presenters
        ----- ---- ----- ----------

        8 2.1 mysql/php (??)
        5 2.8 cvs (joseph)
        5 2 backups (bob)
        4 2.8 pf openbsd (tim)
        4 2 apache config (larry)
        4 1.5 netfilter firewall (cory)
        3 3 latex (neil)
        2 3 vpn/freeswan (cory)

In other news, Beaker has volunteered to try to get our presentations
listed in the R-G and the Eugene Weekly. Maybe on the OSUG web site,
too.
