I've been running GDM ,but the problem I have is it doesn't list all the windowmanagers which I have. It only list GNOME and KDE and Debian. I was thinking I added the other window managers after installing GDM and this might be the problem. I have enlightenment, windowmaker, icewm and a couple others. I've read I can add .xsessions and add the line "exec enlightenment". This would only alow me to use the windowmanager in the .xsession. I thought I could take the gnome or kde script and modify them to include the respective windowmanagers. Any suggestions?
I'm now running XFREE 4 which I got going by editing the XF86Config-4. When I use "startx enlightenment -- :1" from a shell it seems like it's going to start and then it bombs out. I've used this before and it worked great now things are diffeent. Is this XFREE 4 or is another problem? On another thought I got open GL to work but Tuxracer is way to slow for me. I have a 333mhz and Diamond Viper and It's a real pain. I am glad I now have some cool x screensavers though.
