If you still have RH on one of your boxes grab the .bashrc file and put it in 
your home directory.  Or you can cut and paste this into your .bashrc .


# ~/.bashrc: executed by bash(1) for non-login shells.


    eval `dircolors`
    alias ls='ls --color=auto '
