Hello Folks,

I hope you're following the Red Hat Road Tour gang in their journey
across the country. It makes for fine reading as long as <LOL> is ok
where ever this message finds you. ;-)

What strikes me is how the open source community is so diverse and how
it's touched people in so many different ways. Cool...

I'm glad that Portland is at the end of this trip because we'll get to
hear all the stories. The best time for this will be at the BridgePort
Brew Pub on Friday. The clinic on Saturday will be a great chance to
hear more stories and simply play with stuff. We're opening up several
extra rooms in expectation of a big crowd. Red Hat is drop shipping a
truck load of goodies to give away. So far we have over 20 different
K-20 EDU agencies represented for the Monday EDU/Open Source round
table.

If you're coming down from Seattle or up from the valley, post to the
PLUG list and I bet you'll find some folks willing to put you up if
you're looking to attend both Friday and Saturday.

As someone who gets to see the kids using the software everyday I'd like
to say thanks to the larger community of code writers, bug reporters and
problem solvers that make up the OS community. My motto is now "It
works. It's free. Duh..." What I see is that the EDU world and many many
others are starting to understand "duh" and you all know how hard that
can be. ;-^)

Looking forward to seeing you all in Portland next weekend!

;-) Paul
