I've said it before, and I'll say it again: technical fixes won't
prevent spam. Technical tricks just put you and the spammers into an
arms race, and both parties will waste a lot of time trying to keep up
with the other. Spammers get paid to do this, and we don't.
And now for something completely different: a nontechnical approach to
spam control.

Habeas's idea is to put a trademarked phrase into an email header,
grant a free license to anyone to use that phrase in non-spam, and sue
for trademark infringement anyone who uses the phrase in spam.
Can it work?
