Yes. I was looking for the ``best bang for the buck.'' I'm not saying
that Slashcode is necessarily superior to PHP-Nuke or the others, just
in my case, It seemed to offer the smoothest look for the least amount
of trouble.

I did it also for my predescesor. If some day I am to hand the reigns
over to someone else, I my design goal is to make it as easy as possible
to do so.

You're dead on here. Kass designed the ``MWVLUG'' logo. Everything else
is borrowed from Slashdot. I stand on the shoulders of giants.

It may be from the Copyrighted GIF standpoint, but not from the Slashdot
standpoint; they've released their material under the GPL.

If the GIF copyright holders wish to enforce their patents in my case
then I will simply convert them to another graphical format and update
my code.

The linux-enterprise.net domain is one of several I own. When I started
the project on Thursday I did not yet own mwvlug.org. I since purchased
it and am now using it. As per the redirection, you are also right.

I will make the sight straight mwvlug.org when I have re-located it to
it's new home. There's nothing subversive here; I did it this way simply
out of convenience and as a way to get the sight up as quickly as
possible.
