I have a couple of IBM Thinkpads that I no longer need. I had intended on Ebay-ing them but I would prefer to avoid the hassle. I have included a fair bit of info on each system. Both systems work well and are currently running Mandrake (either ver 8.2 or ver 9.0).
Both systems are in very good physical shape. The cases on both systems have no cracks or breaks (that I have noticed) and the latches on both systems work (i.e. the lids stay closed).
The display on the first system is very crisp, bright, and easy to read. The color is even across the entire screen. The display on the second system is a not as good. While it is still very readable, the is a very definite 'washed out' look to it, with a number of areas in which the contrast is not consistent
The batteries in both systems work well. Under moderate load either machine should have enough battery life for over an hour of work. Infact I did the install on the first system while working off of the batter (30-40 mins of configuration and loading files from CD).
The sound on both systems work as does the network. I haven't tried the modem on either system as they are setup now, but before the last nuke-n-pave they were working perfectly.
Both of the laptops come with a AC adapter that works, but I don't know if I have one for the Port Replicator, so it might end up being a cheap add on. I should also be able to come up with at least on Laptop bag (first come first served) that I can add in cheap.
I have not decided on a price so please feel free to make me an offer. If you would like more information on either of the laptops I have included a link to IBM's website that as all of the gory details I left out. I can also email pictures is somebody is interested.
