Hi, Installed Linux yesterday. It came with kernel 2.2.16. I compiled 2.4.20-xfs. I load everything that's not required at bootup as modules. When I boot the 2.2.16 kernel, it works. When I boot the 2.4.20-xfs kernel it can't find the modules. /lib/modules/2.4.20-xfs does exist. All the modules that are supposed to be there are there. Where is the module info kept? How can I convince modprobe the modules really are there?
