All I'm allowing is outside access to download music. Not play
it locally or be streaming it. I like having somebody have to
use something that isn't so common to the everyday user. SSH
works well in that way. A user can only make a secure login and
copy files to their own box using a drag and drop method. I want
a user with no write access and if possible restricted to
particular directory not owned by them.

As far as the GF, she got by with mostly linux all week while
she was here so having her on my computers is not a problem.
