This is kind of cool...

The Linux Gazette is a monthly magazine. They publish their
back issues as Debian packages.

I just found out about the "lg-subscription" package, and installed it
on jogger-egg. That's a virtual package that changes every month to
point to the most recent issue. lg-subscription currently depends on
lg-issue87, and so lg-issue87 was installed too. Sometime in the next
month, lg-subscription will be updated to point to issue 88.

The install script puts a big pile of HTML into /usr/share/doc/lg.
The default apache install for Debian maps /usr/share/doc to the
URL /doc. So Anne or I can browse the Linux Gazette at Ethernet
speed by visiting this URL.

        http://jogger-egg/doc/lg/

I also set up Mozilla so it checks that URL every hour for changes.
It will automatically pop up the issue index every time a new
Linux Gazette is published.

Is that kind of cool?
