This has been discussed pretty thoroughly on the gentoo-user list and in
the forums.  You need to
        emerge win4lin sources

and compile and install that kernel.  I would recommend that you do this
*before* you emerge win4lin.

And use the win4lin that comes with gentoo.  You may or may not have to
disable the preempt patch in the kernel.  The preempt patch is not
"officially" supported with win4lin, but lots of folks have had luck
with using the preempt patch.

Note that I can't give you much more help than this, as I don't do
windows on my boxen anymore.
