Problem: I am going to install my video drivers next and I am looking for a strategy to reverse issues that may be generated.
Question: I am going to install a second incidence of RH 8.0 on this system, in a separate partition, and use it as an experimental environment. Any one see a problem with this? Question: I want to know what others do for a general purpose system backup strategy? Observation: after installing the sound card and editing the ect/modules.conf file the Hardware Browser still shows the problem 'via82cxxx_audio driver.' Question: I feel that the GUI is unreliable in many areas and can lead to confusion. I feel this is still a command line controlled system, in practice. Do you agree (in other words: skip the GUI and develop strong command line skills?)
