Okay, I need to backup and clear space, but ... in the meantime ... Does anyone have any suggestions for how to best-manage situations of <10% free space on disks? Certain fsck practices and options, or other utilities? Is there any chance that space reported as available by 'du' would actually be lost (I'm using ext2 and ext3; please note differences)? As I understand it, fragmentation tends to get much worse when free space is so limited...
