I had a bad experience with mwave. I bought an IBM hard drive there and
found out later that it was a refurb (nothing said so when I bought it
that it was a refurb..) Needless to say, the drive did not live to be one
year old, and when I tried to get my warranty honoured, IBM told me the
part number was a refurb with only a 30 day warranty. I checked my
invoice, no mention of this. I checked the mwave archive of my invoice
and found that it mentioned refurb.
The online invoice and paper invoice were otherwise identical.
Mwave did not, when I brought this to their attention, offer to do
anything about this situation.

<jgoerzen> stu: ahh that machine. Don't you think that something named
stallman deserves to be an Alpha? :-)
<stu> jgoerzen: no, actually, I'd prolly be more inclined to name a 386
with 4 megs of ram and a 40 meg hard drive stallman.
<stu> with a big fat case that makes tons of noise and rattles the floor
<stu> and..
<stu> double-height hard drive
