I think you're spot-on here, Mr. O. Thanks. It exactly reflects my experience in getting my boot cd's to work thus far! However, the last half hour of reboots (and re-inserts) had yeilded no success = ( I figured it might just be "done with that", maybe I should swap in another drive now... thanks again.
