Well, it was a long time ago that i used Accelerated-X. So long in fact
that i can't recal which video card i was using. Probabley a g200? What
i do recall was that it wasnt any better then Xfree. 

If i was to spend any money on commercial software for linux, I'd stick
to applications that were:

1) business focussed, eg. an MSOffice replacement, project management
tool, etc;

2) system adminitration tools, eg. backups, volume management, etc
