However this was interesting:

The "illegality" aside, and although it is [filled in], I find it
interesting that "customers" are left out of that first sentence.

Also, recall my comments that I suspect MS wrote the welchia worm.  Look
at what they say, "Microsoft's main concern is doing whatever it
  takes to help ensure customers can get to the Blaster worm patch to
  protect their computers...."
