Actually, yes. After battling to get my PCMCIA NIC to work on Gentoo (the pcmcia-cs modules loaded and gave no errors, but didn't work for whatever reason ... then switching to the modules that come with the kernel sources it magically worked ... I distinctly remember it being the other way around a few kernel versions ago ... and the NIC works without a thought or module play on OpenBSD) I finally was able to 'emerge sync' after about 20 hrs of frustration. But more to the point, why couldn't Cory find that info? Why didn't you point him to it? I'm not embarrassed. Are you trying to start a flame war? Because if you are, you should look in the archives ... I like flame wars :) Oh, and I posted a few weeks ago about using Gentoo to make music. Linux distros make nice "toy OSes" ... I use OpenBSD for real work ;`} -- <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> please don't take me seriously, you will only hurt yourself _______________________________________________ EuG-LUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.efn.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/eug-lug
