The Via Nemeniah (new C3) chipset contains some interesting on-die
crypto features... tres chic, and not from Intel.  Everyone needs good
crypto, not just those who buy from the mainstream sources.
I'm also glad to see more competition in the chip-and-die industry,
although smaller players are very limited by large-scale economics,
of course.  I trust software crypto about as far as I can fling my
credit card -- I use it, but am hoping for a better tomrorow  = )
