The SCO crew has been playing fast and loose with the law so far

not be of particular interest to them. Also, that matter concerned
a settlement between AT&T, UC Berkeley, and BSDi ; none of them having
direct involvement in the BSD scene anymore. Also, the SCO claim
would be that the unencumbered 4.4BSD-Lite was polluted with SCO warez
after the final CSRG release.
