Hmm, "why's you gots to be hatin'"? OS X is a clear choice for those who aren't cool enough to use linux exclusively... er, I mean, "want to get somehing done" like school assignments. ...and I guess I should add to that, that linux is for those poor saps who can't deal with *BSD's, right?
Heh... he could also try a liveCD, as I understand Gentoo's is no longer the only livecd for macs these days.
