Delphi itself is Windows-only.
However, there is Kylix, which is essentially Delphi for Linux. It comes
in a commercial ("Enterprise") version and a free ("Open") version.
I haven't tried it myself, but I've looked over other people's shoulders
while they tried the free version. It appears to be just like the Windows
version, but without the database and internet classes.
The bad news: Licensing. It forces you to contact Borland for an
activiation code when you install it (even the free version), and despite
numerous loud complaints from users, it still comes with that infamous
license agreement that grants Borland the right to enter your premises and
audit you for license compliance at any time (even the free version).
If you can live with the license terms, it IS a really nice IDE.
The free version of Kylix can be downloaded from Borland at
http://www.borland.com/products/downloads/download_kylix.html. Click on
"Open Edition". But don't try this unless you have a pretty fat
pipe...it's a 90.7 Mb download. You'll have to register for an account on
Borland's web site before it'll let you start the download.
