On the good news front, Sender Permitted From (SPF) is enjoying rapid
growth right now. If you administrate a domain, it might be a good
time to add SPF records to your DNS. It only takes a few minutes.

SPF is a mail authorization system that uses DNS. Any domain that
wants to can publish SPF records which list the hosts that are allowed
to send mail from that domain. Any mail server that wants to can
check SPF records and reject mail that isn't from authorized hosts.
The first step in stopping spam is stopping forged email. SPF is the
first step in stopping forged email.
