I've got qwest dsl into my house. The modem I have is a cisco but I forget the model number. I'm using qwest for both the line and the isp. Line charges are about $30 per month and isp is $20 per month. The speed is around 256k. Static ips are only available for more expensive packages and they cost an additional $15 per month. Cable just showed up in my neigherborhood several months ago, so I'm likely going to switch. Main reason is that I don't use my land line for anything except dsl. So I'm paying $50 for the dsl and isp, plus $28 for the basic phone service. $45 for cable makes more sense for me. If you do go with the dsl and need a cisco modem, I'll have mine for sale soon...
