I am almost in the same boat, avoiding floppies like the plague. I use a couple different mini-cd bootable distro's for rescue when needed, however... I would like to say, though, that this group is not exclusive to linux. We're 'officially' (ha!) the Eugene Unix/Gnu Linux User's Group, which means that our scope is more broad than the average LUG. The Unix/GNU bit means we respect Stallman (GNU = GNU's Not Unix) and then we'll at least recognize and acknowledge anything else related to *nix variants. Any of the BSD's, OS X, Solaris, you name it, it belongs here... heck, we just had a discussion about M$'s unix services for 'doze!
On that note, those non-/.'ers among you might want to see this, if you *ever* have to toil with 'doze systems: http://slashdot.org/article.pl?sid=04/02/15/0251249&mode=thread "Live Windows Bootable CDs for Sysadmins", about BartPE. Not all new news, but hey it's new to me! = ) regards, Ben On Sun, 15 Feb 2004 06:25:48 -0800 nyal <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: | Greetings all, | | Though this OS isn't Linux I thought it might be interesting to some of | the group..... | | http://www.menuetos.org/ | | Fits on a floppy, why not try it! | Nyal | -- | "Once you have pulled the pin out of Mr. Grenade, he is no longer your | friend." _______________________________________________ EuG-LUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://mailman.efn.org/cgi-bin/listinfo/eug-lug
