Well, you're "kind of" staying current wrt the base system,
but the ports tree keeps chugging along, no? Or did you unpack
the ports tree and never update it?
IMO, an evolving ports tree with a static base leads to disaster.
I would imagine most of the port developers are probably running
a -current base. I'm glad OpenBSD has versioning in the ports tree.

I don't know how the FreeBSD ports build gnome, but where is the
omf.make file?
