One of the things that we try to do in the Corvallis LUG is provide consistancy. We found that we had a hard time getting membership up if we were moving things around at the last minute.
So we committed to a date and we committed to a place, and we try to support that for long periods. It has helped bring up the numbers of people who attend meetings. I wonder if having a regular venue, with a regular time, with a pre-posted list of speakers can help eugene in any way...
