This came through the list not to long ago, I believe. I recently
bought a DVD burner, and already have a TV capture card. This past week
I captured enough video from our camcorder to make a DVD. So I loaded
up Roxio's DVD suite and built a movie. Now when I go to burn it, it
has to encode the movie first. Something that apparently takes a lot of
time and processing and disk space. The problem is, either Windows or
Roxio isn't up to lasting that long. I've tried probably 6 times and
each time either Windows crashes and reboots, or Roxio just blips away
and is gone. Each time I have to start from the beginning.

So now I'm looking to dvdauthor and doing it manually in Linux. Any
advice?

Should I see if the Roxio program runs under Wine?

Thanks,
Rob
