i understand how russ feels. i too paid a 'lifetime" whopping 15 bucks in the beginning for my shell account. it's a breach of trust to me, irregardless of what nasty red ink holes anyone has gotten into. kinda like the three lies in show biz ("we'll call you", "check's in the mail", etc.). efn said our shell accounts were "lifetime". i'm disappointed that mine is gone too.

if they didn't mean it they shouldn't have called it a lifetime account. i know it's hard to forsee troubles. so maybe it's a better idea to qualify what a such an account is in the first place.

I don't see your point. You can either drop the email address or you can pay $5/month. If it's not worth $5/month to you, why mention it at all?
