This has nothing to do with giving anyone the right to enter your house.  
Indeed, it has nothing to do with any kind of rights.

It has to do with personal responsibility.  If you live in Oakland (CA, not 
OR) failing to put bars on your ground-floor windows is akin to BEGGING 
burglars to come in & have their way with your domicile.  It's still illegal 
for the burglars to do it, and they certainly do not have any right to enter 
your home.

Doesn't matter.  You'll still get robbed and your neighbors will consider you 
stupid for failing to take what is, in that locale, a basic safety measure.

Well, the Internet isn't much different from Oakland.  By now anyone 
responsible for security who doesn't know the dangers of connecting a 
Microsoft system to the Internet should be fired.

I agree with Joseph.  Anybody that stupid almost deserves to get hacked.  Or, 
as former White House cybersecurity czar Richard Clarke once said, "If you 
spend more on coffee than IT security ... you deserve to get hacked."
