Grettings all, In my box I've got an HP Cd Burner that works great under Mandrake 9.1 At least it works for burning CDs and playing music discs.....
My question is.....Why can't I use the CD Burner for reading a Data CD? KSCD plays music fine and finds my burner at /dev/cdrom. K3B burns CDs fine and finds my burner fine at /dev/scsi/host0/bus0/target0/lun0/cd (0,0,0). When I try to view a data CD though I get nothing. I've tried looking under /dev/cdrecorder and /mnt cdrecorder, with no luck, /dev/cdrom and /mnt/cdrom with no luck! Any suggestions, comments and or words of wisdom are appreciated! Nyal R. Called up the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms regional office and asked, "What wine goes best with an M-16?" The guy who answered did his best to be helpful: "That depends. What are you smoking?" _______________________________________________ EUGLUG mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.euglug.org/mailman/listinfo/euglug
