My preference would be that instead of relying on the weekly meetings
and trying desperately to find a place to continue them, we start
getting serious about monthly meetings, and think about holding
quarterly or biannual installfests.

I think we would all get more out of it and learn more if we had a
regular monthly presentation.

I'll volunteer to take the the next one as long as the topic of
"Taking Advantage of Postgres" is acceptable to potential attendees
(that would be you).

Time and place TBD, we will need a projector, and preferably theater
style seating, I'll see if either the UO or the city would be willing
to loan out one their halls.

I'm aiming towards saturday the 30th of October at the School of
Business (they have really posh classrooms) but if you have a better
idea or access to a really good venue... feel free to let us know
about it.

Draft announcemnt:
Postgres is an open source database server used by thousands of
companies and organizations.
Come learn about some the features that make postgres more than just
another database.

This presentation will cover:
            Transactions
            Constraints
            Triggers & Functions
and a bit about how to use these features from scripting languages
to make your queries faster and more useful.
